We Have Always Lived in the Castle

I really enjoyed Merricat’s voice. It made for such an interesting and unique form of storytelling. Merricat uses no normal logic in how she sees the world, yet I was still deeply immersed in her reality.

Her relationship with her sister Constance was fascinating and deeply codependent. I do wish the book had gone further into Constance’s inner life, since much of what we see of her emotions is filtered through Merricat’s perspective.
